On September 22, 125 employees from Idemitsu Lubricants Vietnam (ILV) visited the Hai Phong Social Protection and Care Center to hold a Community Day.
This initiative is part of Idemitsu’s ongoing efforts to put Idemitsu’s “Truly Inspired” philosophy into practice beyond the company’s walls.
The team carried out a thorough cleanup of the facility’s rooms, corridors, and courtyard, including hard-to-reach upper windowpanes and drainage ditches clogged with mud. Following the cleanup, elderly residents and ILV members gathered for a warm, lively exchange featuring a dragon dance performance and group singing.
The ILV team also prepared for elderly residents “origami cranes” — a treasured Japanese symbol of peace, hope, and longevity.

The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative gifts as well as including daily necessities, to the facility. The center’s residents expressed heartfelt gratitude and joy, underscoring the meaningful impact of the initiative.
ILV General Director Mr. Shiraga emphasized:
“Idemitsu is a company that not only pursues profit, but also builds trust-based relationships with customers, employees, and local communities, and has been contributing to the realization of a sustainable society for more than 100 years. We are committed to deepening these connections here in Vietnam as well.”

Looking ahead, ILV will continue this journey of giving back with similar activities planned in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Can Tho throughout September and October 2025. Through such efforts, ILV aims to realize its corporate philosophy in tangible ways, contribute to local communities, and help build a sustainable future.
