Gia Lai Provincial Leaders Visit Idemitsu Green Energy Vietnam Plant

On May 28, 2026, at Hoai Tan Industrial Cluster, Idemitsu Green Energy Vietnam Limited Company (IGEV) had an important working session with Mr. Nguyen Huu Que – Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, and the working delegation of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee.

The working session took place as IGEV achieved remarkable milestones since the start of its commercial operations in October 2025 and the successful export of its first batch of Idemitsu green energy pellets on February 7, 2026.

At the meeting, the IGEV Board of Management expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the staff, as well as for the dedicated support from partners and Vietnamese authorities. They also affirmed that this plant will continue to play a crucial role not only in the company’s global business operations but also in contributing to the development of the forestry and manufacturing sectors in Vietnam.

Speaking at the plant, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Que highly appreciated the choice of Gia Lai as the location for the manufacturing plant. He committed to always accompanying the company, creating the most favorable conditions, and being ready to support in resolving difficulties so that the plant can operate at maximum efficiency. With the success of Idemitsu Green Energy Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Gia Lai, the provincial leaders believe this will serve as a premise for Idemitsu Kosan Group and other Japanese companies to continue investing in large-scale, green, and high-tech projects in the locality in the future.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade in Gia Lai – Mr. Vo Mai Hung, also acknowledged that black pellets are among the products involved in the investment and internal structural transformation process of the sector in Gia Lai province. Idemitsu is a pioneer in this field, and the product significantly contributes to the added value within the province’s industry.

A representative of IGEV shared their deep appreciation for the support from Gia Lai province throughout the project preparation and implementation period. In the coming time, IGEV will continue to coordinate with local partners, contributing to the province’s future orientation.
