“Green Nghi Son” 2026: From a Pioneering Initiative to a Large-Scale Action Program for a Sustainable Marine Environment

Thanh Hoa, May 31, 2026 – Idemitsu Vietnam Co., Ltd. (an investor in Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC) is deeply honored to continue accompanying the “Green Nghi Son” 2026 Campaign. This participation demonstrates the strong commitment and shared responsibility of the enterprise in promoting local sustainable development and environmental protection. Focusing cleanup efforts along a 1.6km stretch of the Hai Binh coastline, the program successfully collected and treated approximately 60 tons of waste between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

At the coastline of Hai Binh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province, the “Green Nghi Son” 2026 program officially returned on an expanded scale. Hosted by the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Thanh Hoa Industrial Zones (BIZ), in collaboration with 10 prominent enterprises operating within the Nghi Son Economic Zone, the event attracted nearly 1,000 representatives from local authorities, businesses, and the community.

Following the success of the 2025 marine environment cleanup initiative, “Green Nghi Son” 2026 has been developed with a long-term vision, evolving into an annual collaborative program. It aims to build a green, clean, beautiful, and sustainable image for the Nghi Son Economic Zone, affirming a shared commitment to protecting the marine environment and driving the sustainable development of the region.

Through the “Green Nghi Son” 2026 program, Idemitsu Vietnam and other enterprises in the Nghi Son Economic Zone have clearly demonstrated a spirit of collective action toward a sustainable future. When authorities, businesses, and the community unite, we not only improve today’s environment but also lay the foundation for the green, sustainable, and responsible growth of the Nghi Son Economic Zone in the future.
