Idemitsu Vietnam Co.,Ltd. (IKCV) participated in the Japan–Vietnam Agricultural Cooperation Dialogue and Public–Private Forum held in Tokyo “the Forum”; Signs memorandum of understanding “MOU” on Carbon Credit Generation Project

On September 4, 2025, IKCV and CNX strategy department of Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. participated in the Forum and signed a MOU together with our demonstration partners, Lam Son Sugar Cane Joint Stock Corporation (Vietnam) and Sagri Co., Ltd. (Japan) in the presence of Minister of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), His Excellency Mr. Tran Duc Thang and Japan’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), His Excellency Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi. Co-hosted by MAE and MAFF, the Forum brought together 84 private companies from Japan and Vietnam to exchange information on reducing environmental impact and improving productivity, with the aim of supporting Japanese companies’ business expansion into Vietnam.

In connection with our ongoing carbon credit generation project in Vietnam, the three parties reaffirmed their commitment to the smooth implementation of the project and to further strengthening their collaboration framework at the ceremony. Furthermore, the three companies that constitute the project had the opportunity to talk enhancing Vietnam’s carbon credit system with His Excellency Mr. Tran Duc Thang, the Minister of MAE.
